Visual Designer

Listen’s New York office is growing. We are looking for people to join us in producing and generating campaigns and experiences that go beyond traditional advertising at the intersection of sound, music, culture, and technology. Our ideal candidate is a smart and creative self-starter and multi-tasker, who works well with others and brings a fresh approach to problem solving and strategy.


The Visual Designer will be tasked with creating branded visual identities and design systems that translate across the UI of digital experiences, physical activations and digital campaigns.


  • Work on the design direction and UI for web-based microsites, mobile apps, interactive installations and AR/VR experiences
  • Create project identities and design systems to give projects a distinct look and a consistent voice across both digital and physical deliverables
  • Create and deliver digital campaign assets for the web including stills and animated assets
  • Design and prepare graphics and press materials for printing (wall graphics, posters, booklets, signage etc)
  • Design physical environments for physical installations
  • Develop storyboards and mockups to communicate design ideas internally and externally
  • Create client facing documentation and presentations
  • Support on-site Creative Directors and contribute to design thinking across the company
  • Work collaboratively with our on-site UX Designer to translate their wireframes into intuitive and visually arresting UI designs
  • Work dynamically with creative, accounts and production teams to identify design needs, inform timelines and adjust resourcing to meet project requirements
  • Ensure all design work meets the highest quality and deliver work in a timely manner


  • Bachelor degree in graphic design or related design field. UI-focused degree and master’s degree preferred
  • Strong design portfolio showcasing UI, branding, graphic design and campaign work required
  • 2+ years of related experience (1+ year in a creative or design agency required)
  • Expert in Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Sketch/XD
  • Demonstrate a command of visual and communication design principles and foundations with a strong eye for typography
  • Knowledge of motion graphic software (After Effects and Premiere Pro) a plus
  • Interest in designing for emerging technologies
  • The ability to balance multiple projects at once and work in a fast, deadline-driven environment


  • This role is a medium to long term contract position for 30+ hours a week
  • Visual Designer will be required to work across multiple projects
  • Computer and design software must be provided by the designer
  • The role is an on-site position based out of our office in lower Manhattan
  • Applicant must be authorized to work in the United States
