We worked closely with Neon Indian to craft a brand-new live music experience at the CMJ Music Marathon, where he debuted material from his third studio album, VEGA INTL. Night School.
Powered by Microsoft, the show came to life through dynamic visuals created in real time, taking full advantage of interactive Kinect technology.
During the show, five Kinect sensors each captured a different band member, with the visuals reacting to the music and movements happening on stage.
A performance toolkit was released following CMJ, granting other musicians, developers, and artists access to the blueprints used to create this dynamic concert experience.
Part of Microsoft’s Music x Technology program, our collaboration with Neon Indian aimed to bring the artist’s unique vision to life at every show during his 2015/2016 world tour, while demonstrating how Microsoft technology could empower and evolve the music ecosystem.
